The country of Italy is known for its sumptuous and sometimes inventive cuisine, and no Italian dish was ever more mouth-watering to alternative appetites than the delectable babes on the menu in Cannibal Apocalypse (1980). B-movie stalwart John Saxon stars as a Vietnam vet who returns home from the jungles with a hankering for human flesh. In a screen presentation that clearly warrants an advisory label for gore and poor table manners, Saxon and a war buddy chew up the town, infecting new recruits to their people-eater brigades with every bite. Naturally, the chompers are hungry for hot, stacked bundles of female protein. Who would you prefer to eat: sultry light brunette Cinzia De Carolis or some scrawny male extra?
