Review
Klinikum Berlin Mitte - Leben in Bereitschaft is a German clone of successful American medical series like ER and Chicago Hope. Shot mostly in the famous Babelsberg studios, it centers on the everyday life of a hospital located in central Berlin. Despite interesting storylines, good reviews, and an excellent regular cast (Anke Sevenich, Francis Fulton-Smith, and Boris Aljinovic to name a few), the series never quite took off and thus was cancelled after 39 episodes in 2002.
Nudity Report: Who planted the rumour that a TV series can’t contain any nudity? Well, luckily I can inform you that this is wrong, and since Klinikum Berlin Mitte - Leben in Bereitschaft is a German production we are talking about authentic on-screen nakedness…unbelievable but true! The highlight can be found in an episode entitled Hoffnung which features leading lady Anke Sevenich in all her furry full-frontal glory while getting back into bed with a lover. Another personal favorite is the episode Kampftag where the lovely Zora Holt provides reasonable amounts of cleavage before getting her shirt ripped open by some impolite fella. What a perfect rack!!! Several other cast members showed off in different productions. Be sure to check out Cecilia Kunz (Jagd auf den Plastiktüten-Mörder), Rita Lengyel (Blut an der Wiege), Denise Virieux (Gefährliche Lust – Ein Mann in Versuchung), and Lisa Wolf (Second Hand). They are more than worth it!
