Japanese horror director Toshiharu Ikeda, mastermind of the cult phenomenon Evil Dead Trap series, turns his talents to the revenge film in the violent, kinky Beautiful Beast (1995). Kaori Shimamura plays Agent Ran, a female assassin who penetrates the innermost workings of the Yakuza to avenge her sister’s murder. All the expected mayhem ensues, highlighted by Kaori’s half-nude humiliation on a bondage swing, which she turns into a topless triumph.
