Born in Bremen and brimmin’ with beauty, fetching fraulein Elfi Eschke dreamed of being beamed onto the silver screen from a very young age. After graduating high school, she studied at the Hamburg School of Music and Dramatic Arts before honing her professional thespian skills in local theater. A few radio spots and tiny roles on the German boob tube led to an audition with successful director Reinhard Schwabenitzky, who not only cast her in the hit television series Tour de Ruhr, but also began a long-term romance with the actress. Now that’s taking your work home with you! The happy couple worked together on numerous projects, but it wasn’t until their joint venture Summertime Blues: Lemon Popsicle VIII (1988) that Eschke spread her artistic wings and shed her sartorial things.
