Five Easy Pieces (1970) is a typical ’70s classic about a young man looking for something, with Jack Nicholson giving a fine performance as your typical rich-kid concert pianist turned oil field worker. He’s found himself a real beauty in waitress girlfriend Karen Black, too. And since it’s only 1970, Jack doesn’t even have a hard time carrying Sally Struthers off to bed. Susan Anspach is also looking pretty hot, as is Marlena MacGuire as “Twinky,” and, yes, even Fannie Flagg as “Stoney”--and they aren’t even the five easy pieces referred to in the title!
