The genius in Raising Genius (2004) is Justin Long, who spends most of the movie locked in the bathroom trying to figure out a math equation that will permit him better exposure of Danica McKellar, the hot cheerleader next door whom he’s obsessed with and likes to jump on a trampoline. If you’ve not figured out we’re in the land of funny, then let’s add that Long’s mother is played by the O.C.D. suffering Wendie Malick, the former model and sexy pistol from the sitcom Just Shoot Me. Yes, the laughs are dark and nonstop, but it’s Wendie who’s the real genius here. Though she never gets skinful, her very presence is enough to give this movie a thumb’s up in viewers’ pants.
