A teenage runaway experiences a rocky transition to womanhood in the scandalizing coming-of-age drama Violada y Abandonada (1973). Maritza Olivares stars as Cecilia, a young girl who’s tired of the sleepy pace of life in her provincial Mexican town. Cecilia decides to run away to adventure in the bright neon lights of the bustling city, but once there she finds men all too ready to exploit her for her nubile body. Director Alberto Bojórquez makes that slender physique highly ogle-worthy in a couple of ravishing reveals.
