Adapted from a classic fifteenth-century novel of romance and adventure, Tirante el Blanco (2006) focuses on the titular knight of Constantinople (Caspar Zafer) in bumbling armor who lives solely to impress the Byzantine king (Giancarlo Gianini). In the meantime, the Turks are preparing to invade, but our hero is too overwhelmingly smitten with Princess Carmesina (Esther Nubiola) to focus on military strategy.
