In the Italian sex comedy Quando le donne si chiamavano 'Madonne' (1972), which is typical of a certain style of 1970s Italian films, three men attempt to seduce three beautiful young women and another woman is on trial for adultery. Behind the scenes are two conniving spinsters who have their own dark motives and a king who is undeniably attracted to the adulteress. Eventually everyone will get what they most fervently wish for.
