The bloodthirsty spirit of an ancient witch haunts the streets of contemporary Bangkok in Body Jumper (2001), an irreverent Thai comedy that flings together a smorgasbord of genre elements. Everything from teen horror to sci-fi to Hollywood action flick is on hand, including overt references to Scary Movie (2000), Men in Black (1997), Aliens (1986), and other popcorn fare. Chompunoot Piyapane stars as the human conduit for the eternal spirit, and though her shock tactics never include disrobing, there are certainly some scantily clad close calls.
