Set amid the passion and romance of Cuba’s revolutionary heyday, Havana (1990) is the story of Jack, a professional gambler, who goes to Cuba to organize the poker game to end all poker games. On the way there, he meets and falls in love with the beautiful Roberta, not knowing that she is married to one of Cuba’s leading revolutionaries. When the husband dies in a street demonstration, Roberta is arrested as an accomplice and it is up to Jack to win her freedom. Lise Cutter gives us a terribly short but tempting taste of her teacups.
