A made-for-TV tale of two brothers, Vanishing Son (1994) stars Russell Wong and Chi Moui Lo as a fraternal pair who've been forced to flee China after getting involved in political protest. They head for the U.S., where Russell tries to pursue a career in music while dealing with racist foolishness and hostility to immigrants from all sides. He also tries to take his brother by the hand and steer him toward the light, but baby bro says "Hell no!" and heads off into the underworld, where he ends up a member of a Vietnamese gang. Vanishing Son is a fine kickfest from the people behind Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story (1993), but it's also got a hint of breast: Rebecca Gayheart bares a bit of torso tart in a love scene.
