Okay, so John Travolta’s a Rolling Stone reporter working on a hot exclusive about white-collar drug dealing. Then he’s distracted by what’s easily one of the biggest news stories of the year: aerobics. That’s the big idea behind Perfect (1985), one of the ’80s goofiest films--but it seems totally realistic once you see the earthshaking sight of Jamie Lee Curtis in her tight Lycra outfits. It’s kind of hard to take her seriously as a hardcore aerobics guru who disdains the idea of national coverage. This likable disaster has its fans, though, most likely inspired by the toned presence of hotties like Marilu Henner and Larraine Newman.
