A lonely American girl (Anne Dudek) living in Scotland advertises a book group in a shop window as a means of meeting people. Kenny (Rory McCann), a leisure center attendant in a wheelchair shows up. So too does Barney (James Lance), a stuck up weedhead, then Fist and Dirka (Saskia Mulder and Bonnie Engstrom) the Swedish football wives, Rab (Derek Riddell) the blue collar football freak and Janice (Michelle Gomez), his wife. What will this group discuss? Anything but books apparently... but Saskia Mulder showed her undies, so that’s nice.
