Not to be confused with the seedy Little Red Riding Hood adaptation that shares the same name, Freeway (1988) is a burn-rubber crime thriller about a murderous priest. Darlanne Fluegel stars as Sunny Harper, a comely nurse who’s still reeling from her husband’s unsolved killing. After watching a string of corpses come through the morgue with .44 caliber gunshot wounds, Harper resolves to find the responsible party. Teaming up with a radio call-in-show host (Richard Belzer), the resourceful blonde hits the highway in search of the psychotic perp. This crime-solving babe is a catch and a half--don’t miss a single one of her steamy struts around the bedroom.
