Sometimes a movie cannot be judged by its title. Prelude to Love (1995) is saddled with a tag that sounds like it belongs on a gauzy date flick that’s all foreplay and no fornication, but Prelude’s alternate title, Obsessed with Lust, affirms that here is a film that demands to be seen. Prelude to Love’s story arc and conflict are played out in rival modeling agencies, which raises and fulfills expectations of tall, haughty, covergirl-like ladies chatting while casually naked behind the fashion-runway scenes and banging about passionately unclothed while making simulated lust with obsessed male counterparts.
