Modeling is hardly a profession worthy of extending my sympathies. They are beautiful, have a nice share of money and can get just about anything they want simply because of good genetics. I love a good comedy taking these ladies down a notch, mainly because in our eyes they become faceless automatons with big smiles or a pouty disposition who seem to know they’re beautiful and can have whatever they want. What we seem to forget is that they are human beings too and not all of them are bitchy bitches.

Fashionably L.A. uses a loose documentary-style, shot in black-and-white (the fashion gigs burst out into color) to follow the lives of five struggling models as they struggle up the ladder of success. One of them is writer/director Tamara Olson as Kassidy who accepts her lot in the world and uses it to her best advantage. Yet this still isn’t a “cry me a river on your violin” type of movie; it’s also a very brisk comedy ranging from the physical to the sharp-tongued insights of the fashion world. The actresses of the film are certainly easy on the eyes but each gets her chance to shine; if not on the runway then in our laughter. Like the models we dismiss, this is a film worth a second glance before passing it over as just another straight-to-video title with a pretty box.

The beautiful and buxom blonde, Jenya Lano demonstrates the best way to show off a car when she unbuttons her top and exposes her watermelon class breasts at the 15-minute mark.

The dark haired lovely, Tamara Olson does a long sexy dance in a maids outfit with black panties 23 minutes in. She displays some quick cantaloupe class breasts prepping for the final fashion show and finishes by taking off her panties on the runway and showing off her very nice posterior.

Also be sure to check out the lingerie show at the 37-minute point and a very weird clear umbrella dress tryout that exposes about as much of the various models as you could hope for without vividly seeing the complete vitals. Also be so to check out the DVD for the “Bikini Garage Sale” that the actresses hosted to help fund the film.
