In The Time of the Wolf (2003), a family flees the city for their country home in the wake of environmental calamity, only to find it occupied by complete strangers. With supplies of food and water severely limited, the individuals within the family unit must reach deep inside of themselves to figure out how to survive. This is a smart and edgy post-apocalyptic thriller with multiple twists. Florence Loiret may be dead, but that hooter looks as alive as you or me.
