Kids (1995) is an arthouse trip through the amoral world of teen horrors like Telly, a geeky de-virginizer with a real bug up his ass about condoms. See, he doesn't like to use them . . . and what's safer than sex with a virgin? There's only one problem: Telly's got another kind of bug, and he's spreading it across the cherry patch. Enter Jennie (Chloë Sevigny in her screen debut), the only innocent in this snakehouse of snotnosed New York City punks. Chloë's only had sex once, and only with Telly, so she figures that everything is a-OK when she gets tested for HIV with her friend, who's done everyone under the sun. Guess who comes up positive? Oh no, it's Chlo! Knowing what she knows, Chlo sets out across New York to find her one-time beau. The movie ends with Chlo in her underpants, but you won't see much: the scene is as dark as the subject matter.
