Kar Wai Wong’s Chungking Express (1994) is a movie from Hong Kong that has nothing to do with violence, gangsters, or martial arts. Instead it follows two policemen who have just gotten out of relationships. Cop 233 (Takeshi Kaneshiro) has just ended a five-year relationship and copes with it by buying can after can of pineapples. Meanwhile Cop 663 (Tony Leung Chiu Wai) has split up with his flight-attendant girlfriend (Valerie Chow) but finds a new lady at a restaurant. There’s no skin, but we do see Valerie in her bra. Apparently the Chungking Express doesn’t stop in Full Frontal City.
