Italian giallo director Dario Argento goes totally insane in Sleepless (2001), a tale of a psycho killer who makes a big comeback seventeen years later. Max Von Sydow is impressive as the aging detective who has to get back to work, but the younger cast does a fine job of keeping a straight face while the plot veers into the baffling. It’s not just the elaborately staged murders that will have you biting your nails, either. In fact, Barbara Lerici’s nude turn and Chiara Caselli’s sex scene will get you gripping your gonads!
