A waiter in 1940s Mexico is accustomed to having his nose buried in porn until a sexy prostitute arouses his interest in the atmospheric period drama La Virgen de la lujuria (2002). Luis Felipe Tovar plays the horny server whose interest is piqued by the beautiful but coldly calculating Lola (Ariadna Gil). The prostitute is too obsessed with a thuggish wrestler to care about her admirer, but she does see an opportunity to manipulate him to cruel ends. It’s not hard to see why Tovar goes gaga for the irresistible Gil--she never undresses, but she looks alluring enough in her slinky negligee.
