Director Eric Assous wants to show that the boy meets girl, boy loses girl, and boy gets girl model of Hollywood is hogwash with Very Opposite Sexes (2002). He’s set his story in Paris and follows four different relationships through their rough courses, which of course includes copious nudity. This is, after all, a French movie. And he’s a generous director, including a sweet little T&A scene from his real-life wife Véronique Boulanger. Other nude-worthy appearances are by the young and fine Roxane Mesquida, who flashes her perfectly buoyant rack, and Stéphanie Lagarde. Even when the French are disparaging of love they manage to raise the dough in audience’s flesh baguettes.
