The crime drama Street Smart (1987) stars Christopher Reeve as struggling New York reporter Jonathan Fisher, who makes up a story about a murderous pimp to impress his boss. But his fake article is so convincing that the police want to question him about a real-life murder that resembles the one in the article. Then the real pimp (Morgan Freeman) whom they suspect of the crime comes after Jonathan himself. Morgan’s no friendly driver in this one, but you’ll want to drive Miss Daisy hard when you check out the tops, turf, and tailpipe of Marie Barrientos as she gets roughed up in a hotel room.
