Set in the Bensonhurst neighborhood of Brooklyn, Angie (1994) stars Geena Davis as Angie Scacciapensieri, a nice Italian girl who gets pregnant by her boyfriend Vinnie (James Gandolfini). But instead of marrying him, Geena decides to have the baby on her own, to the stunned disbelief of her friends and family. For the sake of realism and to please the preggo fans, Geena uses a pregnant body double to simulate heavy milk-jugs and a swollen belly in a scene when she gets out of the shower. Too bad we don’t see her va-geena.
