Based on the hit 1994 sci-fi flick, Stargate SG-1 tracks the intergalactic explorations of a military crew—SG-1—as they trip about using the structure of the title, which provides a portal to unimaginably far-off reaches of the universe. Along the way, the crew discovers that there are Stargates sprinkled about everywhere, each of which leads to some new adventure. Series regulars Amanda Tapping and Vaitiare Bandera, of course, provided the real heavenly bodies.
