Cybill Shepherd sitcom vehicle in which she stars as an aging and generally abrasive Hollywood star. She’s got two ex-husbands around to mock and a colorful collection of subordinates to humiliate. Throw in an alcoholic best friend (Christine Baranski, easily the best thing in the show) and a lot of smarmy innuendo and you have a series that somehow lasted over three seasons before the TV execs realized that nobody was watching.
