Her arching, plucked eyebrows are the finishing touch in completing Katja Flint’s physical evocation of Germanic film legend Marlene Dietrich. Reminiscent of the icon that the world bowed down to two generations before, blonde Katja’s square shoulders and economical curves strike a dominant posture. Coming out of an exquisitely angled face that might have been masterfully carved in high-temperature ice, her stare shoots heat right out of the screen. The resemblance helped carry Katja in her performance as Dietrich in the career-defining bio pic Marlene (2000). The fully blonde Fraulein Flint carries her appearance in Die Sieger (1994) on her own merits alone.
