Genius is in the eye of the beholder, and all good men who wish to behold genius are urged to gaze yet again upon Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997). Whether brilliant caricaturist Mike Myers is more of a prodigy as a dual-lead actor or as a deadly lead writer is wholly immaterial and moot. There's no point in arguing the theoretical when the Myers vision has delivered an indisputable, all-time landmark in the melding of hilarity and sexuality. An army of busty blonde Fembots, bone-aching brunette beauty Elizabeth Hurley in her sauciest role ever, enough faux-innocent sex chatter to fill a Catholic schoolgirl's secret diary, and a plot that puts the entire world in peril are all presented in a manner equally appealing to prepubescent boys and to men at the far side of middle age, which makes Mike Myers the Einstein of puerile humor.
