Béatrice Dalle and Anne Parillaud play estranged sisters, Elsa and Alice respectively, in Diane Kurys’s erotic thriller À la folie (1994). Elsa arrives on Alice’s doorstep after leaving her husband and two kids, and it is up to Alice and her husband, Frank, to make it all work out. Unexpected, even shocking, twists highlight this interesting exploration of sibling rivalry. Both Dalle and Parillaud excel at removing their clothes, bringing out the chombalonies with verve and gusto.
