Directed by the legendary Gerard Damiano and starring Golden Age porn queen Georgina Spelvin, The Devil in Miss Jones (1972) is, along with Deep Throat (1972) and Behind the Green Door (1972), one of the films most closely associated with the porn chic of the 1970s. Georgina plays a despondent spinster who slits her wrists. She goes to limbo because, although her life has been sinless, she can’t go to Heaven because she committed suicide.
