A harmless prank escalates dangerously out of control in the riveting French thriller Tapage nocturne. Gérard Cuq’s made-for-TV mystery stars Ingrid Chauvin as Claire Baron, a Parisian professional whose quiet get-together is interrupted by tapping from the apartment below. As it turns out, Baron’s downstairs neighbor won’t tolerate any noise and is militant about letting her opinion be known. Together with her friends Bruno (Christophe Laubion) and Julie (Anthea Sogno), Claire cooks up a revenge scheme, but when the neighbor’s corpse is found hours later, Claire wonders if their antics were somehow to blame. It turns out they are, and soon Claire’s shuttled down to the precinct for a full booking. Don’t miss the heroine’s strip search at the hands of a lady cop––police work never looked so pleasant.
