In Night of the Wilding (1990), when a trio of delinquent teens is accused of brutally assaulting and gang raping a helpless young girl, their case becomes a grudge match for a prosecutor and defense attorney with a sordid past. Erik Estrada stars as a tough-as-nails defense lawyer who’s bent on making sure that his clients don’t see time behind bars. The trouble is that his ex-wife, Marion (Kathrin Lautner), is an ace prosecutor who’s never lost a case. Most of the action in Joseph Merhi’s legal drama takes place in the form of courtroom blow-by-blows, but co-stars Julie Austin and Kimberly Spies help to juice the plot by adding some behind-the-scenes sexual intrigue.
