Ripe imagery permeates the erotic Hong Kong drama The Fruit Is Swelling (1997), a romantic coming-of-age story that spawned a number of similarly naughty sequels. Chun Chung plays the eponymous fruit, a beach-blanket babe named Peach. Determined to leave her adolescence and graduate into the smoldering world of adulthood, Peach leaves the comfort of her garden to explore more earthly pleasures.
