The fact-based drama The Counterfeiters (2007) tells the story of a Nazi counterfeit ring organized during World War II to produce foreign currency and weaken the Allies’ economy. Salomon "Sally" Sorowitsch (Karl Markovics) is the gambler and petty criminal who is taken out of Mathausen concentration camp to lead the operation. But soon Sally finds himself at odds with the Nazi officer overseeing him who refuses to treat the tuberculosis his friend has contracted in the camp. Eventually the Allies liberate the camp, but not before we get to see some nudity from Marie Bäumer. Hopefully it’s not counterfeit.
