In Sugar Town (1999), Breakfast Club babe Ally Sheedy turns the craft of reviving randy old rock stars into a High Art when she helps an ’80s glam band, including real-life musicians Michael Des Barres (of Power Station), John Taylor (of Duran Duran), and Martin Kemp (of Spandau Ballet), make a comeback. Busty benefactor Beverly D’Angelo is willing to bankroll the more-than-grownup group of gropers, as long as Des Barres agrees to use his tower of power to charge up her stationary sex life. This account of time’s toll on former heartthrobs is made sweeter with appearances by honeys Rosanna Arquette and Lucinda Jenney, who add their sugary sex appeal to the bitter plight of the pot-bellied brood of aging male musicians.
