From the warped mind of smut producer Manuel S. Conde comes Deep Jaws (1976), a meta-filmic romp about a movie house that cranks out Z-grade sexploitation fare when its not making lofty documentaries for the government. Instead of lensing a sobering film on the U.S./Soviet space race, Uranus Films exec P.G. funnels taxpayers’ dollars to an underwater sex musical in hopes of keeping his company from going belly up. Of course casting is key, and with busty and vivacious B-girls Roxanne Brewer, Sandy Carey, Anne Gaybis, and Candy Samples on salary, the drive-in dollars start pouring in.
