Gangsters and the mob have long been viewed as blood suckers on the corpse of civil society; so it is only natural that director John Landis should combine the crime and vampire genres to create Innocent Blood (1992), a comedy of gore. Part police drama, a little romance and a dash of horror flick, Innocent is never far from a snide snicker and stars Robert Loggia as the infected don, chewing up scenery and any neck he can sink his fangs into. Special mention is given to Don Rickles as an archetypal mob lawyer.
