B-level bad asses Dolph Lundgren and Brandon Lee play two Los Angeles career cops. One is the wisecracking iconoclast, the other a by-the-book super hard ass. They grudgingly form an unlikely and invigorating bond while chasing after a gang of marauding drug lords, leading to a Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991). The bad guys are so busy extorting, pushing dope and chopping off heads that they don’t notice that all the funniest lines in this martial arts action/comedy hybrid are going to Lee and Lundgren. The villains do, however, notice that Lundgren’s gal pal is played by tasty Asian tit bit Tia Carrere. When the thugs kidnap dear Tia, Little Tokyo suddenly becomes a far more dangerous place to be.
