Amanda Ooms is a typical young librarian in Wilderness (1996), except that her menstrual problems go beyond simple cramps. They’re kind of connected to her being a werewolf--and while that’s certainly believable to us, her psychiatrist boyfriend is less willing to go along with her story. This thoughtful British production spares us any gory attacks on the local populace and instead focuses on how Amanda’s transformations affect her social life. At least Amanda knows to get naked so that her clothes don’t get ripped in the process. Your zipper might not stay intact, though--especially with the added bonus of Catherine Holman as a younger version of Amanda in a flashback.
