A crime thriller for the Internet age, the German drama www.maedchenkiller.de Todesfalle Internet (2000) delves into the tattered psyche of a police detective who’s being targeted by a mysterious stalker. Paulus Behrendt (Jochen Horst) suffers from short-term memory loss and a strained relationship with his family, but he labors to overcome his obstacles to put criminals behind bars. Behrendt’s abilities are put to the test, however, when digitized snuff films begin flooding his email inbox. As Behrendt struggles to find the person behind these sinister files, he discovers that the villain has sadistic plans for his family. Although his marriage is fraying, Behrendt does find time to pleasure his bombshell wife (Gesine Cukrowski), who isn’t shy about flaunting her knockout bod during their amorous encounters.
