“One day you'll get closer to the violence of death . . . but THIS IS AS FAR AS WE DARE TAKE YOU . . . with any hope of bringing you back!” So boasts the tagline for the ultra-violent Italian-made slaughter-fest So Sweet, So Dead (1972). Farley Granger stars as a police inspector on the trail of a black-coated, black-hatted serial killer who targets cheating wives and litters each crime scene with photographic evidence of the victims engaging in their affairs. As the murderer spies on his prey, we do too—seeing a succession of sumptuous Euro babes in scorching naked action before they end up way too cold. So Sweet, So Dead is a flesh-and-blood show of the highest order.
