Wojciech Wójcik’s Karate Po Polsku (1982) translates to Karate Polish Style and, perhaps even more amazingly, it isn’t a comedy. The action film chronicles the adventures of two highly skilled painters who moonlight as martial artists. When they’re not daubing the finishing touches on their canvases, the two friends are out fighting crime with a fury of flying fists. They may be fearsome fighters, but they also possess the aesthete’s eye for beauty. Both men stop short to ogle beautiful Dorota Kaminska as she lounges naked on a pier for the crime-fighting painters.
