Wings (1927) is the heroic tail of Jack Powell (Charles “Buddy” Rogers) and David Armstrong (Richard Arlen). The two dashing young men compete for the affections of Clara Bow as Mary Preston, but when World War I approaches, the rivals put their differences aside and become fighter pilots. Wings is remembered as a stirring critical and popular favorite but will live forever for containing Hollywood's first major accidental nudity. Nice bo-bos, Miss Bow!
