In the probing psychological thriller Liebestod (2000), a police commissioner (Henry Hübchen) enjoys an affectionate relationship with his wife until he suspects her of having an affair. Consumed by jealousy, the man follows her into the city one dark evening and, in a fit of rage, shoots both her and her illicit lover. Shaken up, the cop returns home to discover his wife waiting for him--a development that horrifies and confuses him to no end. Ina Weisse stars as the sultry woman who drives the cop so batty. Her perfect form is on fine display in a scene where she sheds her threads for a womanizing painter.
