Sometimes it’s a joy to come upon a movie that dares to call a spade a spade. The Happy Hooker Goes Hollywood (1980) does just that. A fictionalized account of world-famous courtesan Xaviera Hollander (as portrayed by lusciously lean tan sex being Martine Beswicke) frolicking among the beautiful people of Southern California for fun and profit, The Happy Hooker Goes Hollywood delivers skin, sin and scenery. A libidinous lark filled with jokes at the expense of sleazy Hollywood producers, Happy Hooker is buttressed with supporting skin from Taya Boyd, K. C. Winkler and Susan Lynn Kiger and is leant comedic credibility by the appearance of laughable screen veteran Phil Silvers.
