Vincent Ventresca is Thomas Reed, a doctor who gets out of prison after a stint for manslaughter and decides to spend the rest of his days in exile in a sleepy southwestern town in the low-budget film noir Purgatory Flats (2002). But his troubles are only beginning and a meeting with fetching femme fatale Sunny Burkhardt (Alexandra Holden) leads him into a sticky web of intrigue and murder.
