Sweeney! (1977) is a spin-off of the popular TV cop drama from Britian of the same name. What that name means is anyone’s guess. But this duo of renegade detectives who party hardy and police even harder are a hoot to watch. After a high-priced hooker is killed, the boys are on the job, which means lots of bloody knuckles and broken noses. It also means a fair share of boobies, and we’re not talking about the English slang for coppers. Not to be confused with the cannibal barber of Sweeney Todd, this Sweeney! is far more brutal!
