Christian Bale is the titular star of this slasher flick based on Bret Easton Ellis's controversial novel. Christian is a cool financial whiz in the go-go '80s. He's also a whack-job who rapes, mutilates, and murders strangers and acquaintances without a reason. Hey, no one's perfect. Willem Dafoe is the detective on his trail, and before long Christian's cool facade begins to fall apart. American Psycho (2000) also features some crazy-hot females in the form of Samantha Mathis, Chloë Sevigny, and Reese Witherspoon as the killer's girlfriend.
