Angel Boris in Exit (1996)

Review

Shannon Whirry’s in it. It’s set in a strip club. Is Exit an “Erotic Thriller” like all the rest of her films?

Well, the beginning would have you thinking so. The film opens with Whirry having some steamy sex with Brad Long, wherein her rather impressive rack is bared quite a few times. However, once the film moves into the strip club setting (it was filmed in Ft. Lauderdale and I’ll be damned if I haven’t been to that particular venue…) it degenerates quickly into an action flick. It’s no surprise, though; the film was directed by seasoned stuntman Ric Roman Waugh. Although he’s credited as Alan Smithee… It’s the milieu with which he’s most familiar. Why stray?

The rest of the flick concerns a botched robbery attempt on the club, a hostage situation, and a slew of less-than-intelligent cops. Whirry escapes, only to complicate things by taking matters into her own hands by sneaking back in and resolving the situation with noted action-flick actor David Bradley, who plays the only cop with an I.Q. above twenty, although he’s at the strip club as a patron and not there in a law enforcement capacity. Nothing all that surprising happens from there on in, outside of the fact that there’s no more sex

That’s a real drag, although there’s a host of hooters within, including from former Playmate Angel Boris, former Penthouse Pet Gina LaMarca (who choreographed all the routines…), and a slew of other dancers, including Sabrina Sadoti, Shana Petrone, Patrice DeGraff-Arenas, and Sheel, as well as a few others whom I couldn’t discern via the credits. Once the shooting starts, the nudity stops. If you want to see it for the Skin, you can go ahead and stop the film right then and there. If you want to watch it for the action, rent something else.
